News Releases N.S. BUSINESS INC.--Nova Scotia Companies Recognized for Export Success Seven Nova Scotia companies won honours at the 25th Annual Nova Scotia Export Achievement Awards last night. The winning companies had combined export sales of more than $84.4 million in 2007. "In today's global economy, exporting is vital," said Premier Rodney MacDonald. "This year's winners of Export Achievement Awards are bringing Nova Scotia to the world, and their combined contribution to our economy is helping drive our province forward." The winning companies and their awards are: Cherubini Metal Works Limited also took home the award for Exporter of the Year. This year's keynote speaker was Mike Duffy, host of CTV's Mike Duffy Live, who shared his unique insight into canadian politics. Originally from the Maritimes, Mr.Duffy has more than 25 years experience in the national media. He has held positions with CBC Radio News, CBC TV and CTV. In 1994, Mr. Duffy became a member of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. |
